Convince your classmates to donate clothing to a charity

Still buying new clothes for the latest fashion? When you are choosing a new cloth, then it also means the cloth that's already pass the time become useless. Which means after you buy a new cloth, you will not want to wear the old clothes. Rather put it in your closet for the rest of your life, how about just donate the clothes that you will not going to wear to the charity. There'll be bunch of people love your clothes even it's already passed the fashion. So right now, start to spread this news to your classmates,even your family, and your teachers. Donate your clothing that you're not going to wear, give it to the charity so other people with on cloth can wear it. Remember: You give them clothing, they give you smiling.

Future

In the future, the technology will be more developed, which means there will be more things be discovered. I f there's more things that future can found, then future will hold more for mankind. For example, genes, because of genes, you might not need any resume, you just need blood and see that do you fit the job or not, just like the movie "Gatacca". Or later the scientist might continue find more things that can identify people. In case somebody use other people's mane or body to do something bad, they might can use the newest technology to avoid this happen. I think in the future, they will all use genetics to identify who you are. Also in case someone tries to steal something, all the objects might have a genetic security to identify who is taking the object. Maybe in the future, they can even use genetics to see what kind of work you will be good at, and also can tell you what year you should do what such as retired. Having genetics can make our future have less crime and tell you more about yourself, but the bad thing is that you might be limited for what kind of occupation you dream of. Since in the future, almost everything needs to be perfect, there will almost not have people do their dream job in future when you are not good at it.

5. If I were to run away from house, I would run away and rent a house outside not near my house. Honestly, I'm really sick of blaming by my parents, in the third semester, my mom even told me to get A- to A+ in all subject and the reason of doing this is just because she think people in ESL is easier and lesser work to do than the mainstream student. And she treat my sister better because she is in mainstream now. I rather just go out to have my own life than having an unfair life. By the way, having a house with no body has more freedom and convenient than live with your family. You can go back to your home as late as you want, no body will blame on you just because you came back home late. Also you don't have get something before your parents approval, you can buy what you like anytime. I wish I can just run away from house and have my own life now.

6. Some of my good memories are like many classmate will want to talk to me and make me seems like I'm one of the group, or my favorite contestant in a show have win the competition. And there's another good memories I have is to do fun things with other students such as having a rehearsal for the musical. Right now my favorite period in school is every Tuesday, Friday, and Thursday afternoon. These three days afternoon is our rehearsal time. I really enjoy the moment when I was rehearsing, people will chat with me, play with me, and talk something funny. That is just what I want, can be friends with the people in the rehearsal and can sing songs and dance. In future, I will want to go back to the time I and the twelve-grade students were rehearsing the play together.

Journal Warm-up: Persuasive Essay

Local museum should let students in without paying. People mostly want their child to know more information, and museum have full of knowledge to let people know. If children can visit museum without paying money, they can know more thing in their life and they can use it in future. There will be more successful people in this world, and they might have some achievement for your country.

Extreme pressure

When I start to think about this question, my first thought was brave and confidence. This two qualities has to have it if you want to do the stuff that stakes were high. When I went to Taipei to watch a musical, I remember they have swing some people from one side to the other side and it's really high when they do this, I was very enjoy it because they didn't have fail the performance. Now when I thought about it,  I don't even know how much brave and confidence they need to have to do this action, because if they fail during the performance, they might just fall right to the ground and died (I didn't remember they have any net under, but there's some cushion under it). If the performer is me, I will always be worry about how dangerous it is and think what if I fail and died. I think the people who like to do action that the risks are high are really brave and is not scare to die, also they must be really confidence about their performance, they believe that they will not fail it. Overall, I'm very impressive about them that don't afraid about the outcome if they fail to do it.

When the going gets tough, the tough get going

 (There is a saying "when the going gets tough, the tough get going" in very difficult circumstances, some people do indeed get going. They have a spirit that moves them ahead-pushing to do heroic deeds. What makes these people so tough, so strong in spirit? Why do they turn out to be good, why do others go so wrong? jot down about your thoughts about these hard question.)

I think there has many reason that makes some people get tough. Some of the people is because of there parents, some of them is because they already know the importance of being tough. And why do the people who are tough become great, but not for others is because when it is future, there will be tons of challenges waiting for us. Being tough can makes you bear more thing form the challenges. If you were not tough, you might collapse when you are still facing the challenges and you might just give up what you can do. We actually all should need to be tough, or else you can't face the challenges in the future and any kinds of pressure that others give to you.

Analysing poetry

"When you read a poem what is it that you do? How do you approach it? Explain your strategy for analysing poetry."

When I read a poem, first i will just read it once. Then I will start to see which word I didn't understand and i will find it out. After I know all the word in the poem, I will start to think why the author wants to said that. I think usually I can understand it, because I'm can think very much when I actually think about it, same as when I think about how friends treats me. My thinking will make others feel annoying. So, it will be easy to understand what the author want to tell us. I think this is the way I analysis a poetry.

Some thing I would like to inherit

I think I would like to inherit to be like to talk to people more confidently. Right now I was really shy and don’t like to talk to people. Sometimes I will think that if I speak, I might hurt someone, so if I don’t say any word, I can still be friend with my classmate and not hurt them by my word. But because of this thinking, my friendship is become worse, not too much people would want to talk to me, and every time when they have event, they won’t invite me. This habit actually is totally different from my parents. My parent almost everyday go to socialize with their customer, or their friend in high school. Our house almost every week will have some guest to my house. I think if I can have this skill, I might have more friends in my school life.

I remember when I was fifth grade. Teacher is asking everyone whether they are going to the summer camp or not. I told my teacher that I can't go because of my parents and the transportation problem, but I still really wants to go. After the teacher heard me said that, he told me don't need to worried, and he start to keep convince my mom and dad that I should come to this summer camp. And because of the transportation problem, the teacher promise that he will carry me to school  and back to home. Now when I think about this, I felt this teacher just because of me, he needs to wake up early to carry me to school. I think this kind of teacher is not common to see it. I really felt he is a great teacher, and this teacher actually is one of the office staff, Mr.Frank.

Passion is like a sun. If you are really passion to others, people will also felt the hot of your passion. Your sun will be really hot if you are more passion about something, and other people will realize that.

Happiness is like a candy. You can feel the sweet when you eat or feel it. While you are enjoying this candy, you can let other people know you are having this candy, or just put in to your mouth and let yourself to enjoy it.

Abandon is like a trash. Other people wants you at  first. For example: Tissue. People will want to use tissue to solve their problem. But when you were finish using, they throw you into the garbage can, like tissue. After solving the problem, people throw the tissue to the trash can.

Nature

I was imagining that I was in a hotel. I was laying on a bed in my room. My eyes were still closed, but I was already awake. I can feel the bed was really soft, the blanket was big, soft, and warm. I really didn't want to get up because it was very comfortable, so I stayed in bed for a while. When I got up, I could see the beautiful view from the window. I started to brush my teeth, and do other stuff for preparing to leave the room. When I leave the room, I went to the restaurant in the hotel, eat my breakfast, and the restaurant is quiet with just a little music. After I finish the breakfast, I went back to my room, get ready to go on the bus and continue my vacation...

Imagery

After I listen to this song, I feel the song is talking about a man live by himself. He has no friend or any girlfriend, and he don't want it either. He felt if he has girlfriend or friend. He'll feel pain and want to cry someday. He rather want to be a rock, an island, with no pain and cry. The only thing stay with him is the books and the poetry. At first I have picture that he is on a big mountain, there's nothing, only his house and surround the wall. The bottom of this mountain is a large city with all other people. I think he is happy about his life, a person in his house with no other people.

I think this song at first is singing about a person that is really normal that didn't related to anything. He just felt dizzy and want to live in a hotel, and there's a girl that is pretty and want to guide him to the hotel, but when it was the end of the song, he wants to leave te hotel. This song seem like a peaceful song, like califrnia hotel is lovly and peace, but I think actually this hotel might be terrible. In the middle of the song, "'We are all just prisoners here of our own device" and "They stab it with their steely knives, but they just can't kill the beast". I think it means if we go into that hotel, we might become prison and we will be attack bt the beast. At last a really normal man because of living in this hotel, become a prisoner and never can get back to his normal life. "You can check out any time you like, but you can never leave"

Video Project Reflection

In this project, I think I really like that when other people like our movie when I was presenting. I felt it was great if we done it really hard and everyone admit it when it was presenting it.  Also I like that the fun when we are filming, every time when we start to film, sometime you will feel funny when others were doing it. It's also fun when you are acting, you probably will have another feeling, which is nervous. Actually I felt really felt nervous when they are starting to filming, I will felt I might do it wrong. When teacher is showing everyone the video, I felt normal if I look at other's video, but when it was showing our group's video, I well become very embarrass, I have cover my ear during the entire video. Although this project will make us a little bit embarrass, but during filming the video, it was really fun.

I think this article really want to let the readers know how angry is part of the asian. Because actually I think part of the asian think Amy have said it too over. It's seems like only Asians will like to torture prople, and we torture them is just because want to let all the people think the parents are great. The asians want to let whole the world that they are not that streat. At the middle of the article, they talk about what is Amy really mean. Inside they have said some of the thing is just like joking, but actually almost all the people think it's not really funny. She also have said that asian is actually not telling the truth when they are blaming Amy. Amy didn't think that all the asian actually are not like this. And I also think that some of asians are still doing this. They should admit that, but they just want to blame on Amy to said the truth out.

What is "success" mean to me?

I think there will have many ways that let me felt success. For example, when I have prepare something for a really long time, when it is the day I need to presents, and  I have a really good result. I'll felt happy because of success. If I have done something that make the other people happy, I will also felt I have done something success. If I was playing games, and I finally pass the game, I'll feel success. Overall, I think success for me means to let other be very happy and let them think is great that I have come to help them. It's because I'll felt that I have do something right, and I finally do something right and let others felt they needs me. Usually, to let my self to feel success is really difficult, if there's any thing is wrong, I'll think this wrong will affect all the thing I have done, and I'll feel I fail at last.

I almost agree all the thing Jean have talking about. I think it is meaningless that our child have a great collage but without other kinds of ability. Such as attitude, personality or others. Parents should not always just looking for his or her kid's grade. Also I kind of agree that we need to learn thing by our self, not forcing by the parent. When you're grown up, and having your job, who will be forcing you to do something. This kind of habit should be train it form the beginning. There one that I also agree. It's also about forcing child. Sometimes forcing child to do something, you can see some of the success. But if the parent keeps continuing to force the child to reach this hard goal, their pressure become bigger, like me. If I have force by my parent, when it is time, I'll really exploded, and if they still keep doing it. Again, I might leave the home, and escape to my grandma's home. I think Jean didn't said it too over. Like Amy Chua's, her article some of it is to over. But I can said that Jean is not joking and writing the truth.

At first, I really like this article. I have told so many truth from inside our heart. But when I continuously read it, I felt the author have goes too far. Actually, when I get a B on the final, my mom will not be crazy. She might just only blame on me for a couple weeks. Also my mom will not block me to go to school's play, she even wants me to stay at school and be more later to go back home. I think my mom actually will want me and my sister to stay at school later, so she can know that I and my sister are not playing computer or watching TV. OH!! I think the author said that Chinese parents didn't allow child to watch TV or play computer is too magnify. Although my mom will told me that don't play computer games, but she will not get too serious about this. When I read to the middle of the article, I sometimes will want to try to become a Western children. I might get more freedom, do what ever I want. No one will try to disturb me. When she is saying lulu's story. I sometimes will felt that I have a same feeling and reaction with lulu. But my parents will continue told me to do it until it was perfect. I think all the people will not like when other people force you do something that you can't able to do it. I think why parent can't feel what the child feel, they also have school when they were child. Will they want to me control by their parents when they were young? I don't think so. Now they're just change to a parent's character, they seems like forget what is the feeling when somebody always control you. Anyhow, I  think Chinese parents should learn from Western parents about freedom, and not that strict. Western parent should learn from Chinese parents about let child have more confidence and not overprotect their children.

What features did you like or dislike in a book you read?

I usually think if a book has pictures or other colorful graphs and thing, I will be really happy to see it. Because almost every time when I read a book, I will fall a sleep, but if the book has many picture to look at it, it will definitely can wakes me up. Usually all the colorful picture and graph will interest me, but there's some of the picture I still will be scared. Sometimes there will have some book that is talking about our body, if the book that include body parts or blood, I'll quickly flip over the page and continue to read it. I'll also remember that next time when I read it, I'll skip that page. When I was kid, there were some of the cartoon  drawings that were very scary. I still can remember when I was about second grade. There's a cartoon movie from Japan. At first when I read the book of that story, I've saw a picture. When I saw that picture at that time, I was still not scared. But when I was watching the movie, I was totally scared by the same picture when it is appear on the movie. From that time, when I look again the book's picture, I will be really scared and try to skip it. Some of my classmates knows that I'm scared about the picture, they will show me the picture suddenly when I was doing other things. Every time I need to close my eyes when they show to me. Until now I think I am still afraid about that picture, when I saw the television is going o show that movie, I'll turn to other channel immediately. Maybe I've already think it's not scary, but I still afraid to see that book or that movie. Overall, I start to think that the features will really affect us want to continue read it or not.

Quick write-Perfect School

I think my perfect school can makes my grade become well but use the most comfortable and easy way to do it. When it is the beginning of the school, we just need to be in the school about eight thirty to nine. During the class, the teacher would not give us too much pressure, playing games to help us, and when the class end, teacher would not give us too much homework to do. When it is lunch time, the school could give us some food that is yummy but not disgusting. During the noon, there would have a nap time for us to take rest. If there is someone that don't want to sleep, they still could go upstairs to play sports or use computer. Also there would be some vending machine for us to buy food and drinks, in case we were still hungry during anytime. After school, we could have some of the sports club, some of the student also could go to the computer room to do what ever they want except for downloading something on the computer. When we were at home, we could still use our computer to go a kind of website that can let us review by some of the little game. There would be some of the exam, including quiz, exam. When each exam finish, we could have two to three days to rest. The most important, the teacher would see which of the student is not really popular, they would help him to make some of the friend. There would be no enemy in this school, and there would not allow the student to be hate, bully, jealous, or betray such as this kind of negative thinking or action to other people. If there's really have this kind of school, I think I will be very happy and positive everyday.

New Year's Resolutions

Actually usually I don't have any new year resolutions, I just want to have the red envelope, but if I have to think, I think my new year resolution is 1. To continue to have good grades. 2. I want be more healthy, so I don't catch more cold too often. 3. I want my friendships with classmates to be closer. 4. I don't want to fight with my sister and my mom so often. 5. I want less homework from all the period of the class. The reason I want good grade is because if I have a good grade, I can let my mom happy, and even myself will be happy. Also, I can have a good collage in the future. I want to be healthy is because, last year I had caught cold very often, I don't want to be that uncomfortable any more. Next resolution, of course this wish is already in my mind for almost half year to a year. I really want it!! Ususally in the school, you might think I and my sister just ignore each other, but sometimes when she was at home, she will  blame on me that I don't do my homework or didn't help to do something. I just want my mom and my sister to ignore me, but not always, if nessary time they still will. And the last one, this problem have going to drives me crazy, so much homework that I can't even have a good sleep, no freedom, and even been blame by my sister and mother, so please can the teacher give us less homework. Don't need to have no homework, but please just one or two each day. Overall, wish my resolution can actually become true!!

"From the Odyssey, Part Two" Reader Responce

I think the meeting of father and son, it's quite good. The father have finish his journey and get back, but his son already forget him. but actually I have a little bit don't know why Odysseus need to change to another people, he just need to be himself and tell his son that he is his father. I think his son will also be surprised and felt happy that he saw his father. When this short story finish, I felt happy about that they have finally met each other. The next short story, death at the palace, I felt kind of disaster, first he use the arrow to kill the leader of the suitors.Then when he said they have wooing his wife by uninvited into his house, I felt a kind of ridicules. but the next almost all the part is killing and killing. I actually don't like that, actually they don't need to kill them, they can try to talk to them. Hero is not always kill the bad people. The last story Odysseus and Penelope, at first I think Penelope is really cold-blood, she knows that he is her husband, but she just doesn't admit it. When they said they need to have a special code for meet each other, I really start to think what will be the code. Then when I know that the code is the tree. At first I actually quite not understand what is the story talking about, but later I know that there's no one know the bed has been moved only Odysseus knew, so they finally know they are real couple. Not the other fake person. When the story to the end, I also felt good about it.
